Filtration foam products are the largest special foam segment within the business unit "Industry." Untreated foam is used for liquid and gas filters, and processed foam is utilized as a filtration or carrier medium. The requirements for filtration foams are very high. Especially the pore size and texture and the homogeneity have a very fundamental impact on the effectiveness of the end product. We have increasingly addressed these requirements and have developed a new analytic technique that automatically delivers an objective and reproducible evaluation of the foam structure.

FoamPartner supplies special foams for the following filtration applications:

air filters
filtration foam as a matrix for ceramic filters, catalysts, and battery
electrodes or simply as a stabilizing framing foam
active charcoal filters for air-conditioning and acoustics
water filtration for aquariums
charged systems for biological activity, flame retardant, and insulation

Filtration foams based on polyester and polyether are available in blocks and pre-cut sizes, or as rolls for a limited range of products.
