The process-oriented model:
A modern company requires innovative capacity, uniqueness, the ability to learn, a well thought-out range of products and services, the ability to adapt flexibly to changing market conditions and customer needs, and of course the highest quality standards.
REACH stands for the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemicals.
As Regulation EC 1907/2006 for the safe production and use of chemical substances in the European Union (EU), which took effect on June 1, 2007, REACH pursues the following main goals:
- Better protection for people and the environment from possible risks in dealing with chemicals. The industry bears the main responsibility in assessing risk
- Improving competition and innovation
- Promoting alternative testing methods to evaluate risks
- Promoting the free circulation of chemical substances within the EU
As a downstream user, FoamPartner is considered an industrial user of substances when it comes to producing foams and/or formulating foam systems. FoamPartner foams and/or foam systems are declared as products and/or mixtures as per Article 3 of the REACH regulation. Therefore, they are not subject to registration requirements. The raw materials used to create the products comply with the REACH regulation and have been approved according to its specifications.
The abbreviation RoHS stands for restriction of hazardous substances.
EU Directive 2011/65/EU, known as RoHS 2, which replaced the previous Directive 2002/95/EC in 2013 (RoHS 1), restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic devices. This directive is now sometimes also used outside the electrotechnical sector and the European market as a basic requirement for materials.
Appendix II to the directive was amended by EU Regulation 2015/863, and Appendix IV by EU Regulation 2016/1029.
